Let's make a recipe!

To start with, we will tell to our students (specifically) the aims of this session so as to let them know what they are going to do and learn during the lesson.

Besides, in order to revise some vocabulary (related with the topic of this unit) we will play to the Hangman.

We will watch a video in which ‘The Baby Triplets’ will explain us the different ingredients and steps that are necessary in order to make a chocolate cake. Therefore, the purpose of this task is to introduce students with the topic that is going to be developed in the second activity.

Thus, by using a worksheet, students will have to write the different ingredients/steps that will be needed in order to make a specific meal (it can be an invented meal, a typical dish that is eaten in some countries at breakfast time or some other dishes)

In this worksheet, pupils will have a cupboard with some ingredients inside of it (students will have to know the meaning of the different ingredients that will be used in order to make the recipe) and they will have a chart in which pupils will have to write the different ingredients that will be needed in order to make the recipe as well as the different steps that should be followed.
*For example: one student decides to make a ‘Full English’. Thus, he/she will have to write the ingredients that will be needed in order to create this specific dish (some baked beans, an egg, some bacon and a sausage).

  1. Hello,
I appreciate your blog, it´s functional and it works on listening, reading, writing and speaking. So I can say it´s very compelte.

Although, I think the presentation is also important and you used some sad colours as brown. It´s fine for High School but, in my opinion, is too serious for primary or pre school.

Apart from that, I think the blog offers some good materials to work on with the students. Congratulations!
